Fuzhou Yuxian Future Technology Co., Ltd ("we," "us," "our," or "Auto ScanQR") respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where it applies.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the Auto ScanQR mobile application (the "App"), how that information is used and shared, how long it is retained, and the choices and rights available to you. Please read this Policy before using the App.
Auto ScanQR does not require account registration. QR code scanned or generated through the App is processed primarily on your device. We do not automatically upload the contents of your scans, selected images, generated codes, or locally stored scan history to our servers.
The information processed through Auto ScanQR is limited to the categories described below. The exact information available to us may depend on your device, operating system, permissions, settings, and the third-party services included in the version of the App you use.
· Device information, such as device model, operating system and version, device language, screen size or resolution, time zone, app version, and general network information.
· Device and advertising identifiers, such as IDFA, IDFV, GAID, app instance identifiers, and IP address. An IP address may indicate an approximate region, but we do not use the App to collect precise GPS location.
· Usage information, such as app launches, session duration, screens viewed, scan or creation feature use, button interactions, and advertising events.
· Diagnostic information, such as crash reports, error logs, performance data, and technical events needed to maintain reliability and investigate problems.
When you use the camera scanner, the App processes the live camera view to detect and decode QR codes . Camera frames and decoded content are processed on your device for the requested scan. We do not automatically upload or retain live camera images on our servers.
Depending on the code you scan, decoded content may include text, website addresses, contact details, phone numbers, email addresses, Wi-Fi configuration information, calendar information, product identifiers, or other information embedded by the code creator. You control which codes you scan and whether you take an action based on the result.
If you choose to scan a code from an image, the App may access only the image or images you select, subject to the permission controls provided by your device. The selected image is processed to detect and decode the code. We do not automatically upload selected images or their decoded content to our servers.
If the App allows you to create a QR code, it processes the text, website address, contact information, or other content you enter to generate the code. Generated codes, favorites, and scan or creation history may be stored locally on your device so that you can view, reuse, share, or delete them. Unless a feature clearly tells you otherwise, this content is not automatically synchronized to our servers.
If you choose to share a scan result or generated code through another application or service, the information is sent to the destination you select and is then governed by that destination's privacy practices.
If you contact us, we may receive your email address, message, attachments, and any technical details you choose to provide. Please do not send sensitive information unless it is necessary for us to address your request.
The App may integrate advertising, analytics, crash reporting, and fraud prevention SDKs, such as Google AdMob and Firebase. Depending on your platform and settings, these providers may collect device information, advertising identifiers, IP address, app interactions, diagnostic data, and advertising events. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies. We require service providers to process information only for authorized purposes and in accordance with applicable law.
Auto ScanQR may request the following permissions only when they are needed for a feature:
· Camera: to scan QR codes using the device camera.
· Photos or media access: to let you select an image for code recognition and, when you request it, save or share a generated code image. On supported systems, you may be able to grant access only to selected photos.
· Tracking permission on iOS: if applicable, to allow access to IDFA for personalized advertising or advertising measurement. We request this through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
You may decline optional permissions. A feature that relies on a declined permission may not work, but other available features can continue to function. Permissions can be managed through your device settings.
We use information only for the purposes described in this Policy, including to:
· Provide camera scanning, image recognition, code generation, local history, favorites, sharing, and related App functions.
· Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App and understand how features are used.
· Display advertising, measure advertising performance, limit repeated ads, and, where permitted, personalize advertising.
· Detect fraud, abuse, invalid traffic, security incidents, and technical threats.
· Respond to support requests and communicate about service-related matters.
· Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases as appropriate:
· Consent, including for access to optional device permissions, IDFA, personalized advertising, or similar processing where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time through the relevant device or App setting.
· Performance of the service you request, including processing camera input, selected images, entered content, and code results to provide the feature you choose to use.
· Legitimate interests, including maintaining App reliability, measuring general usage, preventing fraud, protecting security, and improving features, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
· Compliance with legal obligations, where processing is necessary to meet an applicable legal requirement.
We do not sell the contents of your scans, selected images, generated codes, or local history. We may disclose limited information in the following circumstances:
Advertising and analytics providers may receive device information, advertising identifiers, IP address, general usage events, advertising interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver ads, measure results, produce aggregated analytics, detect invalid activity, and maintain their services. Personalized advertising is used only where permitted by law and your settings or consent.
Service providers may process limited information on our behalf for crash reporting, diagnostics, hosting, security, or customer support. They may use the information only to provide the contracted service and must protect it appropriately.
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a valid legal request, protect the rights or safety of users or others, investigate fraud or security incidents, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Removing the App may also remove locally stored App data, subject to your device's backup and restore settings.
Advertising, analytics, diagnostic, and support information may be stored on systems operated by us or our service providers. We retain this information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may differ by data type and provider. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained for longer where it can no longer reasonably identify you.
Our service providers may process information in the United States, the European Economic Area, or other countries that may have different data protection laws from your country. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with appropriate supplementary measures.
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of personal information we control. You may also have the right to object to certain processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
Because most scan content and history remain only on your device, we generally cannot access or delete that local content for you.For information processed by an advertising or analytics provider, you may also need to use that provider's privacy controls.
You can limit or reset advertising identifiers and manage personalized advertising through your device privacy settings.
To submit a privacy request concerning information we control, contact us using the details in Section 11. We may need to verify your request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. However, no device, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. You should review a scanned link before opening it and avoid scanning or sharing codes from untrusted sources. Auto ScanQR does not guarantee that content embedded in a third-party code or website is safe, accurate, or lawful.
The App is not directed to children under 16, or the higher minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us. We will take reasonable steps to delete information that we are legally required to remove.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, our data practices, or legal requirements. We will publish the revised Policy in the App or through another appropriate channel and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how personal information is processed, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required by law.
If you have questions, comments, or privacy requests concerning this Policy or Auto ScanQR, please contact Fuzhou Yuxian Future Technology Co., Ltd at [email protected].
